SPOKANE, WA- Quality Custom Distribution Services Inc., a subsidiary of Irvine, Calif.-based Golden State Foods Corp., has leased nearly 16,000 square feet of space in the Spokane Business & Industrial Park and plans to open a food-distribution center there soon.
.
Spokeswoman Gennifer Horowitz says the company is recruiting about 30 employees to work at the center.
Horowitz says Quality Custom Distribution’s main customer is an international coffee retailer, which she declines to name.
The company is moving its Sumner, Wash., distribution center to the industrial park, at 3808 N. Sullivan, so it’s more centrally located within its distribution area, Horowitz says, adding that the center will serve customers up to 500 miles away.
It will install a $617,000 refrigeration and freezer system, building permit records show. Insulpro inc., of Tampa, Fla., is listed as the contractor.
Quality Custom Distribution has four distribution centers in the U.S. Golden State Foods, has 11 additional distribution centers nationwide and processes and distributes food and supplies to fast-food restaurants, including McDonald’s outlets.
Dean Stuart, of Crown West Realty LLC, and Scott Person, of NAI Black, handled Quality Custom Distribution’s lease.
